David M. Chavin
is chef/owner of Dishing It Out.
After earning a
Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Hofstra University
and working for 12 years in the insurance field, David decided that
it was time for a change of life.
Leaving the
hustle and bustle of the corporate world, he followed his
passion by attending culinary school. David soon earned a
Culinary Arts Diploma from the prestigious Institute of Culinary
Education (formerly Peter
Kump's Cooking School), located in New York City, the center of the
culinary world.
After gaining
additional experience in the kitchen of Lahiere's restaurant in
Princeton, NJ, and as a chef in the corporate kitchen of Bristol
Myers Squibb in Hopewell, NJ, David fulfilled his dream by starting
his own company, and has even cooked Christmas dinner for actress
Uma Thurman in her New York City apartment!
Through his
commitment, experience, and expertise Chef David has
